The sensor can capture outdoor temperature and humidity, while the indoor unit takes care of the temperature and humidity indoors. While this may seem basic, this weather station self-calibrates to your precise location to provide a hyperlocal forecast for the next 12 hours. This is pretty smart. Not only this, but this unit is self-learning. In learning mode, the AcuRite 75077A3M uses an algorithm to track changes in pressure over time which determines your altitude. You need to use the weather station for 14 days before the learning mode icon disappears from the display.
